Stacy Gold is a creative and dedicated leader with 28 years in the photography industry and a passion for positive change through imagery. She specializes in big project editing, archive management and teaching workshops.  

Currently, Stacy works as a Photo Editor for Warner Brothers Discovery and is curating the Alison Wright Archive through her Gold Circle Studio office. She is also a consultant, instructor, and freelance photo editor working on visual editing projects of all kinds.  

For over two decades, Stacy worked for National Geographic as a Visual Editor and Strategic Director of the Image Collection Archive. During these years, she edited the magazine story assignments for preservation in the archive and agency. She was the talent representative for hundreds of photographers and developed and executed a recruiting and vetting strategy for NatGeo's picture agency.  During her time at National Geographic, she was instrumental in the launch of the NatGeo Agency's first video licensing business and was often called on to curate special book projects. For several years, she sat on the Advisory Board for FotoDC, helping form the FotoDc festival as well as participated as a judge for the FotoWeek DC photography contest.  She has been a portfolio reviewer for ILCP as well as for NatGeo during her stints at the Perpignan Photography Festival. Stacy has been a capstone thesis project reviewer and guest editor for the University of Syracuse, Newhouse School of Photography and has participated as a Group Conversation Facilitator for the Women Focus.

Upon leaving National Geographic, she curated Paul Nicklen's personal archive and was the first Interim Director of Content for Visura in 2021.

As an educator, Stacy has worked on several National Geographic and VisionWorkshops Photo Camps in the last decade, teaching students the tool of photography to express their voice and inner vision.

Stacy is based just outside of Washington, D.C. where she lives with her family and their feisty but snuggly rescue dog, Arlo.
